How Our Network Works for Homeowners

A friendly pest control provider talking with a homeowner outside a stucco ranch home in Rancho Cordova

Who you talk to

There are two parts to the process. First, you reach the Lossuniverse Pest Control referral line, which gathers the basics about your problem. Then, if you choose to continue, you speak with an independent provider in the network. Lossuniverse Pest Control has no technicians of its own. The person who visits your home works for the provider.

What happens on the call

Think of it like the front desk at a clinic. The first step is a short conversation about what you have noticed, not a treatment. You describe the pest or sound, where it shows up, and how long it has been going on. That is passed to a local provider who handles that kind of problem. Providers set their own schedules, so Request a callback to check provider availability.

What to ask a provider

Ask before you book. Here are questions worth keeping nearby, with what good sounds like and what should make you pause.

  • Are you licensed for this work in my state? Good sounds like a clear yes and a willingness to share details. Pause if the answer is vague.
  • What exactly did you find, and why do you think it is happening? Good sounds like a simple explanation tied to your home. Pause if you hear only a sales pitch.
  • What will you use, and is it safe around children and pets? Good sounds like specific answers and clear instructions. Pause if they will not name products or methods.
  • Will I get a written quote? Good sounds like yes, with the scope listed. Pause if the price changes with the mood of the conversation.
  • Do you plan to seal entry points or fix the cause? Good sounds like a plan that goes beyond a one-time spray or trap.
  • What happens if the problem comes back? Good sounds like a clear follow-up policy in writing.

Be careful with anyone who pressures you to sign on the spot or asks for full payment before starting.

You are in control

Talking to a provider is not a commitment. You can ask for an estimate, compare it with another, and take time to decide. Costs vary by job and by home, so a written quote is the only number you should rely on.
